The Fake Review Detector API accepts any product review as plain text and uses an AI model to assess whether the review is genuine, suspicious, or likely fake. The response includes a fake score from 0 to 100, a verdict label, and up to three specific signals that influenced the score — such as excessive enthusiasm, vague or generic praise, repetitive phrasing, or language consistent with incentivized or bot-generated content.
Common use cases include e-commerce platforms that need to moderate user-submitted reviews, Amazon sellers monitoring competitor review fraud, marketplaces building trust and safety tooling, and developers building browser extensions or research tools for review quality analysis.
